A wonderful place with old-world charm. The room is beautifully decorated. The view of the Loire is magnificent, and the garden is romantic. Breakfast is served on luxurious tableware and is delicious, with homemade jams: rose, bergamot, almond, lemon, etc. The lady who gave us a very warm welcome does everything she can to ensure her guests are comfortable. We discovered this superb address by chance, but were charmed by its privileged location near the Loire. It is an ideal starting point for exploring the region, especially by bike. The interior is like stepping back in time, and the beautiful house is surrounded by a carefully tended garden, ideal for relaxing. Our hostess was always ready to give us tourist and culinary advice and even took care of our reservations. In short, a place we highly recommend for those who want to be pampered in style. The manor house is charming and decorated in a style that is entirely in keeping with its era. The Barbacanne room is spacious and the bedding is particularly comfortable. We also enjoyed the breakfast provided by Brigitte, who is a very attentive hostess. We particularly appreciated being able to chat with the other guests on this occasion, as well as our walk in the garden at the end of the day with a view of the Loire.

We had a wonderful time in a beautiful setting with a breathtaking view of the Loire River and an extraordinary garden that follows the slope of the hillside just like the house itself. The house is tastefully furnished and decorated with antique furniture and objects lovingly sourced from flea markets. Everything about it is charming, and the hostess is lovely and attentive: we can’t wait to return and highly recommend it! It’s a place with soul, and you can really feel it. Plus, it’s just a stone’s throw away (600 to 700 meters) from an excellent traditional cave restaurant! In short, we loved it and we warmly thank our charming hostess for her hospitality.❤️

We really enjoyed interacting with our host. For our first romantic weekend in three years—since becoming parents—this experience was a success. It was very quiet and peaceful, with a relaxing atmosphere and incredibly comfortable bedding (the softness of the sheets was such a pleasant surprise!) Breakfast in the garden was fabulous, enjoyed with our host and her cat—both were incredibly kind and genuinely warm. We also recommend the Carahutta restaurant for dinner, just a 5-minute drive away (Chênehutte). Thank you again

A timeless stay in this 19th-century manor overlooking the Loire. A very friendly and warm welcome, decor carefully curated by enthusiasts, and a historic atmosphere. A four-poster bed in a very quiet, high-up room, from which you can catch the sunrise over the river, just before enjoying a delicious breakfast (included in the price) with some unexpected jams... The proximity to Saumur offers opportunities for walks and sightseeing (Pierres et Lumières, Cunault Church, etc.) and a wide selection of restaurants. A wonderful experience for a few days away from it all.

A magnificent old manor house: it really feels like stepping back in time. That said, don’t expect a luxury hotel—this is clearly a bed-and-breakfast, although they’ve clearly made an effort to provide a wonderful experience! The hostess deserves a lot of credit for managing such a large property on her own, especially at her age. Note that despite the price, this is truly a bed-and-breakfast, not a hotel.

After reading so many negative reviews—and having already booked my Smartbox—I was a little nervous about spending a weekend with my boyfriend at this manor. But I was pleasantly surprised! The place is stunning. If you love castle-style interiors, this is the place for you! True, your bathroom isn’t necessarily in your room, but it’s on the same floor—and it’s all yours! Breakfast was served to us in a beautifully decorated living room, on silverware. The immersion is total! Plus, Brigitte is a truly lovely lady who’ll teach you about the region and can recommend places to visit and restaurants. She’s a colorful character, full of joie de vivre and passion for her work. She’s not intrusive at all—she just enjoys chatting with her guests. True, you have to be back by 10:30 or 11:00 PM, but we are, after all, in her home! If that doesn’t suit you, there are always hotels! ;) A magnificent region, a magical manor, and a unique hostess—if you love bed-and-breakfasts, don’t hesitate! I recommend it without hesitation!
